Tortelli toscani di patate

Tuscan potato tortelli are a product that originates from the Mugello area. Initially a peasant dish, filled with modest ingredients such as chestnuts, they underwent a substantial transformation with the start of potato cultivation.
Potato tortelli were already appreciated at the time of Lorenzo the Magnificent. Their authentic flavour results from a wise choice of ingredients: the filling of genuine Tuscan potatoes is wrapped in a layer of rough-textured pasta prepared using a careful selection of durum wheat semolina, wheat flour and fresh chicken eggs.
